Above is the sheet for the Design members of PDA to create with for the month of September.
These are lovely vintage women with roses and most are in a sepia rust shade.
Because flowers have been so popular in art projects lately I am asking the designers to incorporate flowers in their projects.

Hi Everyone
Above is the sheet for the Design members of PDA to create with for the month of August. These are vintage cigar and food labels with images of men. The sayings make me laugh and I would love to create taking these words out of context and using them with a little added humor. Anyone got any ideas?

Flowers Challenge June 2011

Hi Everyone,

The design challenge for the PDA designers this month is to use an image from either of the floral design sheets above. Style is open so I look forward to seeing a huge variety of projects created with these sheets.

The sheets are the same except one has a white background for easy extraction of images for digital creation, and the other has a distressed paper background so that it is easy to use instead of trying to cut out little tiny pieces.

Both of these sheets are fabulous to use for digital and paper collages as well as jewellery, 3d charms, dominos, tiles, and much more.
If you would like to purchase either of these sheets, just click the images to go to my new website and follow the basic steps for purchase. Upon receipt of payment, I will send an email with a link to the full size image for you to download to your computer.

"These flowers are great to work with. I loved it! It was fun to make a back ground with the flowers and then to also add them to maries head dress or powderd wig. I also added a painted feather. that was my hubbies idea. the lace and the velvet ribbon finished it off good."

Theda Bara Challenge

The design challenge for the PDA designers this month was to use an image from the Theda Bara collage sheet set and include only one other color than the black and white.

Theda Bara Puzzle Collage
my blue puzzle, background painted, lace, hand made crochet flower
(hand dyed with indigo) beads.

I used a little embossing on this background that I white washed with gesso. I added gold ribbon and buttons. Gold seemed to be the right color for Theda. Vamp stamped on gold ribbon and attached at the base of the piece. Gold glitter on her tiara added the final touch!
